This one is for you because in this one I am going to show you a really nice pizza joint that I visited the other day. So it was my first weekend in France and les français like to go out and have a good time during weekends. So me and Lila (My French mother, almost!) took me out on a city tour. She is very nice and I really like her.
So, I will start with my city- Antibes (pronounced as ON-TEEB)
Located between Cannes and Nice, Antibes is a pretty-little vintage town. Between the Bay of Cannes ( south-west) and the Baie des Anges (north east) lies the Cap d’Antibes. It’s a magnificent area around the mediterranean. During weekends, you’d see a lot of cyclists and runners in this area. It’s good to take a lazy stroll while eating baguette too! Old Antibes and the port of Antibes are on the mainland and face the Baie des Anges, while Juan les Pins is closer to Cannes. Place de Gaulle is the city center with all the markets and shops– and is my favourite place. So right after my classes and during the breaks between my classes, I generally sit near the fountains at PDG. Sometimes, I walk towards the Bord de Mer which is even more beautiful and tranquil. It’s basically the seaside and has a lot of places to sit. The best part is that during the day time (the time when I go there) the place is less crowded and very calm.

took me to this really nice Pizza shop in Antibes, it’s run by a Franco-Italian couple and serves delicious pizzas. It’s not a good thing to be a vegetarian in a country that is so full of mouth-watering non-vegetarian delicacies, you see. The only option for me at the pizza shop was – Tomato, Onion and Mozzarella or Tomato, Onion and Goat Cheese.
So Lila ordered two slices of each. I realized after tasting it that I hate goat cheese. Everyone around me loves it. May be it has something to do with me being a vegetarian. It was the first and the last time for me.
Anyway, it was a lovely afternoon that followed a lovelier evening. After the lunch, we went back to our appartment for la siesta (it’s very important in France- a short nap).
